Cold Wave Grips Rajasthan: Winter has arrived prematurely in Rajasthan this year. Cities like Sikar and Fatehpur were colder than Shimla and Mussoorie. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for cold wave in Sikar and Tonk.

Rajasthan Shivers Under Early Winter; Sikar, Nagaur, and Fatehpur Among Coldest Spots

The effects of snowfall in the hilly states of North India are now visible in Rajasthan. This time, cold has arrived earlier than usual. Night temperatures in many cities have fallen below 10 degrees Celsius. According to the latest report from the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, similar cold conditions will prevail in the state for the next few days as well. The department has issued a yellow alert for cold wave in Sikar for four days and in Tonk for one day.

Fatehpur (Sikar) was the coldest in the last 24 hours with a minimum temperature of 6.9 degrees Celsius. Sikar recorded 7.5 degrees Celsius and Nagaur 8.3 degrees Celsius, respectively. A mild cold wave was felt in these areas on Tuesday morning and evening. Temperatures in Rajasthan's Sikar, Fatehpur, and Nagaur cities were lower than Shimla (8.4°C), Mandi (8.8°C), Mussoorie (8°C), and Dehradun (11.8°C) in Uttarakhand, as well as Jammu (11.4°C) and Katra (10.4°C) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Weather experts say that such cold weather is usually felt in Rajasthan after November 20th, but this time it has already begun. Minimum temperatures were recorded 2 to 6 degrees below normal in several districts, including Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Pilani, Sikar, and Tonk.

Despite the morning and evening chills, the afternoon sunshine brought relief. The highest daytime temperature on Tuesday was 32.6°C in Barmer.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the skies will remain clear for the next week, and the minimum temperature is expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees. A yellow alert for cold wave conditions has been issued for Tonk and Sikar districts on November 12th. A cold wave warning has also been issued for Sikar for the next five days.
