Rajasthan Emerges as Synthetic Drug Hub; 7 Arrested, Army Soldier Among Suspects
Rajasthan News: Inter-state drug smuggling gang busted: Seven smugglers including an army soldier arrested, ganja and MD worth lakhs seized

Rajasthan has now become a major hub for smuggling synthetic drugs like MDMA and ganja. Even people from the government machinery are involved. The Rajasthan Police has achieved notable success in two different cases through a large campaign. They have arrested a total of 7 suspects and seized a significant amount of ganja and MDMA. Among those arrested is an Indian Army soldier who was aiding in the smuggling.
Under this campaign, directed by Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar, the police team at Dag Station stopped a truck filled with iron rods. The smugglers had hidden the ganja beneath the rods to evade detection. During the search, police recovered 103.600 kg of ganja from the truck.
The driver, Zaheer Khan (35), and his accomplice, Vinod Sharma (28), both residents of Jhalawar, were arrested on the spot. Meanwhile, police intercepted a luxury car escorting the ganja. Pirulal Malviya (34) from Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, now at Kotwali Jhalawar, and Anwar alias Annu (29), also from Jhalawar, were in the vehicle and were arrested. An Indian Army ID card found on Pirulal Malviya was used to avoid police checkpoints and warn his accomplices. Authorities are now searching for others involved in this extensive network.
