Lok Sabha Polls: 'This is the time to enjoy voting, not to doubt', CEC Kumar said on the question raised on EVM

Today marks the beginning of the largest democratic festival in history. The first round of voting for the Lok Sabha elections is currently underway. Voting is being conducted on 102 seats across 21 states in the first round of elections. Under such circumstances, all of the leaders—beginning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi—are pleading with the people to vote. Also, the Chief Election Commissioner has urged voters to cast enthusiastic ballots. He claims that it is positive to see so many people leaving their houses, even in the rain. Let us know what else Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said regarding the first round of elections.

On the worsening weather and long queues, Kumar said that it is indeed a pleasure to see the enthusiasm among the people of the country to cast their votes. He said, 'We are getting news from many places that it is raining. Even though it is raining, people are coming out in large numbers to cast their votes. Women, youth and old, everyone is seen going to the polling booth. It is great to see that people are moving forward for democracy.

When opposition parties raised questions on EVMs, Rajiv Kumar said, 'This matter has now been resolved. It is 100 per cent safe. This matter has also been raised in the Supreme Court but nothing can be done with the machines. A mock poll has been done. This is the time to enjoy voting, not to doubt anything.
