Lok Sabha Polls: On the long queues at polling stations despite the worsening weather, Rajiv Kumar said that it is a pleasure to see the enthusiasm among the people of the country to cast their votes.
Today marks the beginning of the largest democratic festival in history. The first round of voting for the Lok Sabha elections is currently underway. Voting is being conducted on 102 seats across 21 states in the first round of elections. Women, youth and old, everyone is seen going to the polling booth. It is great to see that people are moving forward for democracy.
When opposition parties raised questions on EVMs, Rajiv Kumar said, 'This matter has now been resolved. It is 100 per cent safe. This matter has also been raised in the Supreme Court but nothing can be done with the machines. A mock poll has been done. This is the time to enjoy voting, not to doubt anything.
