PM Modi Highlights Growing India-Austria Ties, Stresses Collaboration in Tech and Defense
After talks with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stacher, Prime Minister Modi stated that military conflict is not the solution to any problem. He stressed the need for lasting peace in Ukraine and West Asia.
According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “the entire world today stands in such an atmosphere, and the situation impacts all the countries.” PM Modi emphasized that a war would not be able to resolve any issue. Both Ukraine and West Asia require stability and enduring peace.
The statements were made by the Prime Minister after the discussions he had with the Austrian Federal Chancellor, Christian Stacher. This is a first-time official visit of a Chancellor of Austria in the last forty years. The visiting Austrian Chancellor will stay in India for a period of four days.
The two leaders discussed in detail the serious impact of the conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia on the global economy and resolved to work together to address these challenges. Modi said, "In such a tense global situation, both India and Austria are unanimous that military conflict is not the solution to problems. We want stable and lasting peace in both Ukraine and West Asia."
