In Kasargod, Kerala, a woman found it difficult to question her son about his mobile phone addiction. The woman had questioned her son about his mobile phone addiction, after which he brutally attacked his mother. The 63-year-old woman was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kannur district, where she died on Saturday, police said.

Police said that Rugmini was constantly scolding her son Sujit for excessive use of his mobile phone, due to which he got fed up and hit his mother's head against the wall at their home. He said that after receiving information about this matter, the police immediately arrested the accused.

He further said that during interrogation, the man confessed to his crime and claimed that he made the claim on his mother because she was constantly interrupting him and raising questions about his use of his mobile phone. It is being told that the accused was mentally unwell and was recently admitted to the Government Mental Hospital at Kuthiravattam in Kozhikode.
