Inflow into equity mutual funds decreased by 22% in November, investment through SIP reached new all-time high

Equity fund investments fell 22 per cent in a month in November. According to the Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI), investment in equity funds fell 22 per cent month-on-month to Rs 15,536 crore. The total investment in October was Rs 19957 crore and in September it was Rs 14091 crore. Apart from this, investment through SIP reached an all-time high.

Inflow into equity mutual funds decreased by 22% in November, investment through SIP reached new all-time high

In the last month i.e. November, investment in equity mutual funds has decreased by 22 per cent on a monthly basis.

According to the data of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), investment in equity mutual funds has declined by 22 per cent to Rs 15,536 crore month-on-month. The total investment in October was Rs 19,957 crore and the total investment in September was Rs 14,091 crore.

Manish Mehta, head of sales, marketing and digital business at Kotak Mutual Fund, said, "Equity net inflows may have been impacted in November due to Diwali festivities and bank holidays."

Even though there has been less inflow i.e. less investment in the equity segment in November, if we include the investments of November, it is the 33rd consecutive month when inflow is continuing.

Inflows have been seen in the equity segment of all categories. Let us tell you that last month 6 new mutual funds were launched which raised a total of Rs 1,907 crore.

Inflows through SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) reached a new all-time high of Rs 17,073 crore last month. Inflow through SIP in October was Rs 16,928 crore.

Within equity funds, mid and small-cap equity funds have seen the bulk of inflows accounting for 41 per cent of total equity inflows.

In November, the maximum investment of Rs 3,699 crore was seen in small-cap equity funds. Investments of Rs 2,666 crore have been received in mid-cap and Rs 1,965 crore in sector or thematic funds. There was an inflow of Rs 1353 crore in the Large Fund. In November, the total assets under management (AUM) of all 42 mutual fund companies reached Rs 49.04 lakh crore.
