Rajasthan Weather: A yellow alert for rain has been issued in 29 districts of Rajasthan today. At the same time, heavy rain warning has also been given in Banswara, Dungarpur, Jhalawar and Pratapgarh.

Today, there is an alert for light to moderate rain in 29 districts of the state and heavy rain in 4 districts. A new weather system is forecast to become active in the next 24 hours, likely bringing significant rain to most areas of Rajasthan over the next week.
Since June 1, the state has received 136 percent more rainfall than normal. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 104 mm was recorded in Deeg, Bharatpur. Meanwhile, Kotada in Udaipur received 34 mm, Sikar’s Ramgarh Shekhawati 16 mm, Ladpura in Kota 11 mm, Rajakheda in Dholpur 10 mm, and Pahadi in Bharatpur 15 mm. Additionally, light rain occurred in several other districts, including Pratapgarh, Kota, Bhilwara, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Sikar, and Churu.
Due to decreased monsoon activity in the western parts, temperatures are rising again. In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature was 41.4°C in Ganganagar. The average humidity in most parts of the state ranges from 50 to 90 percent. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of heavy rain in eastern Rajasthan between July 2 and July 6, with some areas in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Udaipur, and Kota divisions potentially experiencing very heavy rainfall.
Due to good rainfall during the initial phase of the monsoon, water levels in dams are increasing. Currently, 22 major dams are filled to 65.11% of their capacity, while 263 small and medium-sized dams are at 27.48% of their total capacity. Of these, 28 small and medium dams are completely filled.
