The demand for electric vehicles is increasing in the country. In view of this, new vehicles are being introduced and launched by all the major vehicle manufacturers. Kia India is preparing to launch Kia Carens Clavis EV soon in India. Will it be launched as the country's cheapest 7-seater Electric MPV? 

Kia is all set to launch KiaCarensClavis EV in the guise of a 7-seater Electric MPV. It will be launched soon by the company. But the official launch date has not been announced yet.

The price of the car will be disclosed by the company when the car is launched. But it is most probable to be launched between Rs 15 to 20 lakh ex-showroom. If that is the case, the car will be the cheapest 7 seater Electric MPV in the country.

The initial electric version of Kia's MPV would have many positive characteristics. It would have all the characteristics that are being used in the current version of the ICE. It would have many facilities like LED lamps, LED DRL, sunroof of the panoramic type, air purifier, ambient lights, disc brakes in four wheels, ABS, EBD, six airbags, hill assist, 360 degree camera and child anchorage of the ISOFIX type.

According to reports, Kia's new electric MPV can be bought with two battery options. In which battery options of 42 kWh capacity and 51 kWh capacity can be given. With both these battery packs, it can get a range of 400 to 500 kilometers in a single charge.

Kia will offer the Carens Clavis EV as an electric budget MPV. This vehicle will not face any direct competition from any electric MPV in the market. But in terms of price, it will face competition from SUVs like MG Windsor EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki E Vitara.
