The final outline of the trade agreement between the US and India has been finalized, and a joint statement has been issued by both countries. Now, a statement by the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has been revealed, saying that the trade agreement between India and the US will provide access to new markets for American farmers and producers.

The statement claimed that the US President, Mr. Trump, is expanding the scope of US farmers and producers, particularly in one of the world's largest economies, through the trade agreement with India. The agency responsible for developing and promoting US foreign trade policies further claimed that India has agreed to eliminate or reduce tariffs on a wide range of US industrial goods and agricultural products.

"From nuts and dried distilled grains (DDG) to red sorghum and fresh and processed fruits, the trade agreement will provide new market access for US products," the USTR said in a social media post on Friday.

Another post said, "President Trump is expanding access for American farmers and producers to one of the world's largest economies, with India committing to eliminate or reduce tariffs on a wide range of all US industrial goods and agricultural products, remove long-standing non-tariff barriers to trade, purchase more US goods and services, and purchase over $500 billion worth of US products."

Praising the agreement, US Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer said that President Donald Trump's "deal-making" efforts are opening the doors of one of the world's largest economies to American workers and producers. "Today's announcement reflects the deepening relationship between the United States and India, as we create new opportunities for farmers and entrepreneurs in both countries," Greer said in a statement.

The White House said in an India-US joint statement that the two sides have agreed on a framework for an interim agreement on mutually beneficial trade. Greer said that Trump's deal reduces tariffs on all US industrial goods and a wide range of agricultural products, while removing tariff and non-tariff barriers to open India's market of over 1.4 billion people to US products. He thanked Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal for his leadership and commitment to achieving fair and balanced trade with the US.
