Cheating of Rs 5 lakh in the name of Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murthy, police registered a case against three people
A priest from Malleshwaram, Bengaluru has been arrested by the police for committing a fraud of Rs 5 lakh by misusing the name of Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murthy. In fact, during the investigation of two cases registered against two different women, it was revealed that Kumar was the mastermind behind both the scams.



A priest from Malleshwaram, Bengaluru has been arrested by the police for committing a fraud of Rs 5 lakh by misusing the name of Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murthy. This 34-year-old priest has been identified as Arun Kumar. In fact, Pujari had falsely assured Murthy's presence as the chief guest at a Kannada Koota event in California.
The accused Kumar was arrested only after Jaynagar police registered a cyber crime case. In fact, during the investigation of two cases registered against two different women, it was revealed that Kumar was the mastermind behind both the scams.
Kumar defrauded a group of people from Kannada Koota in Northern California of Rs 5 lakh and assured them that Murthy would attend his 50th-anniversary event as the chief guest. The incident came to light after pictures and videos surfaced showing Murthy as the chief guest. Kumar has confessed to defrauding the organizers and collecting Rs 5 lakh as advance money.
