A speeding car rammed into a parked ambulance on Mumbai's Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The collision was so strong that 5 people died and more than 8 people were injured. The incident happened late at 3.30 pm.
Actually, before this, there was an accident here. The ambulance had come to pick up the injured people in this accident. While they were being seated on the side of the road, a car came and trampled them. After this, 5 vehicles including an ambulance collided with each other.
The entire incident was captured on the CCTV camera. It can be seen that people were standing near the vehicles parked there when the speeding car hit it.
The first accident happened at 3 pm. A car collided with the divider. An ambulance arrived at the spot to help. Two more cars stopped to help them. At this time 13 people were standing there. Then the car coming from behind trampled them. 13 people including an employee of Sea Link were injured. Of these, 5 died in the hospital.
It is mandatory for the trains to have a minimum speed of 80 kmph on the Bandra Worli Sea Link. This is the reason that most of the vehicles running here run at a speed of more than 100. The speed of the car that hit it first is said to be around 110-120 kmph. However, the official statement from the police has not come yet.
PM Narendra Modi has expressed grief over this accident. The PMO tweeted, 'Shocked by the death of people in the accident on the Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai. Those who have been injured will recover soon.
