The dazzling lights of the city or the markets are liked by the lights on the festivals, but it is also giving the disease of diabetes. All kinds of artificial lights, gadgets like mobile laptops, LEDs outside showrooms, car headlights or hoardings can also make you a victim of diabetes.
Research on 1 lakh people in China has shown that artificial lights like street lights and smartphones can increase the risk of diabetes by 25%. In fact, these lights, which make us feel day even at night, start changing the body clock of humans, due to which the body's ability to control blood sugar level decreases. Doctor Yuju of Shanghai's Ruijin Hospital says, 80% of the world's population is exposed to light pollution in the dark of night.
Light pollution is excess light.

In China alone, 9 million people have become victims of diabetes due to light pollution. These people live in 162 cities in China. They were identified in China's Non-Communicable Disease Surveillance Study. The details of his entire lifestyle are recorded in it. Even their income, education and family history.

During the research, 28% of people who stayed in artificial light continuously for a long time in the dark started having trouble digesting food because due to the light, the production of melatonin hormone in the body decreased. This hormone keeps our metabolic system right.
Actually, in people who are exposed to artificial lights all the time, their body's glucose level starts increasing without eating anything.

This reduces the activity of beta cells in our body. Due to the activation of this cell, insulin hormone is released from the pancreas. Dr. Xu says that excessive exposure to artificial light is a problem of modern society all over the world and it has become another major cause of diabetes.

Dr. Xu says, 99% of people in America and Europe live under light-polluted skies. Earth has a 24-hour day-night clock. It is determined by sunlight and darkness. This applies to every living being on this planet, but humans have tampered with it.

Due to light pollution, the life cycle of insects, birds and many animals has changed. In this, they are dying prematurely and due to this, there is a lot of loss of biodiversity around the world.
