World's highest railway bridge built in Jammu and Kashmir: Railway Minister participated in the trial

The world's highest railway bridge over the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir has been completed. On Sunday, a trial was conducted by driving a trolley car on this bridge. During this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was also present.
Apart from this, the work of India's first cable railway bridge being built on the Anji river of Jammu and Kashmir is also nearing completion. According to Northern Railway, the work on this bridge will be completed by May.
Both these bridges are part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla-Rail Link Project (USBRL). This project will be completed by next year. On completion of this project, the Kashmir Valley will be connected to the main rail network of the country.
The Chenab Bridge built on the Chenab River has a height of 1,315 meters above the river bed. It is an arch bridge and is 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower. This is the highest railway bridge in the world.
The Chenab Bridge has been built between Bakkal to Kaudi in the Reasi district. Its cost is 14 hundred crore rupees. Tests related to strong wind, high temperatures and earthquakes have been done for this bridge. According to officials, it will have a lifespan of 120 years and will be able to withstand winds of up to 260 km.
After the completion of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla-rail link project, Vande Bharat and Vande Metro trains will also run on this bridge. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that this train will run between Jammu and Kashmir.
On the other hand, the country's first cable railway bridge is also being built on the Anji river. This bridge is built in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir and will connect Reasi to Katra. Its distance from Chenab Bridge is just 7 km.
The total length of this bridge is 725.5 meters. Out of this, a portion of 472.25 meters rests on cables. This bridge has been built by dividing it into 4 parts. The tower built in the middle of this bridge has a height of 331 meters from the river bed.
The middle portion of the bridge is 290 metres, out of which 52.5 meters of work is left. Out of its 47 parts, 41 have been completed, while 6 parts are left. Officials hope that its work will be completed by May.
Anji Bridge will be able to withstand winds up to 213 km/h. On this, the train will be able to run at a speed of 100 km/h. However, if the wind blows at a speed of more than 90 km/h, then the train will have to be stopped.
The age of this bridge will also be 120 years. It will be able to withstand the blast of 40 kg of explosives. In this, sensors will be installed in between which will be able to catch any kind of disturbance. Apart from this, nothing will be damaged by this bridge even in an earthquake.
