Rajasthan Weather: The activation of a strong western disturbance in Rajasthan is expected to bring about a major change in the weather. Thunderstorms and rain are expected in six districts on January 22nd and 10 districts on January 23rd, with hail also possible in some areas. Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions will be the most affected. After the system passes, severe cold and dense fog are expected to return to the state.

Weather Turns Unstable in Rajasthan as Back-to-Back Western Disturbances Hit

Due to the effect of back-to-back western disturbances, the climate in Rajasthan is once again going through extreme changes. There are chances of thunderstorms and rains in six districts on January 22nd, while there are chances of thunderstorms and rains in 10 districts on January 23rd. After that, there are chances of a western disturbance in the state from January 26th to January 28th. Along with thunderstorms, the western disturbance, which will be activated on Thursday, will bring hail too. After the effect of the system, there are chances of severe cold and dense fog in the state.According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, this western disturbance is likely to have the greatest impact on the districts of Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions. Its impact may also be felt in some districts of Jodhpur division on the first day.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that due to rain and hailstorms, minimum temperatures will rise in many districts of the state. The capital, Jaipur, may also experience a sharp drop in temperatures over the weekend. Currently, the minimum temperature in Jaipur is 11 to 12 degrees Celsius. However, the Meteorological Department estimates that it may see a drop of 5 to 7 degrees.

During the past 24 hours, dense fog prevailed in the northwestern and northeastern districts, causing a drop in temperatures in Jaipur, Churu, Pilani, Sikar, Fatehpur, Karauli, Dausa, and Alwar on Tuesday. Except for Jaipur, minimum temperatures in other cities remained in single digits. The lowest temperature in the state was recorded in Pali, where the minimum temperature was 4.6 degrees Celsius.

Due to fog, the maximum temperature in all cities of the state on Tuesday was recorded below 29 degrees Celsius. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Barmer at 28.8 degrees Celsius.
