Russia's private military Wagner lack of ammunition

Russia's private military Wagner, fighting the war in Bakhmut, Ukraine, has complained of a shortage of ammunition. Yevgeny Prigogine, the owner of the private military and close to Putin, has said that his fighters do not have weapons. Due to this, Ukraine's next attack can prove fatal for them. Prigogine said these things in an interview given to a journalist.
Wagner Chief Prigogine said that we have only 10 to 15% ammunition left. While Ukraine can launch a major attack on us by May 15. Prigogine has held the leadership of the Russian army responsible for his condition.
During the interview, Prigozhin said that we are forced to send the bodies of thousands of fighters home every day. He has also written a letter to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on the shortage of ammunition.
He said that there may be such situations that we do not want to run like cowardly rats, in which case we have no other option but to die.
According to America's Institute for the Study of War, Prigogine had demanded 4000 rounds of ammunition daily from the Russian government. Of these, they are getting only 800.
Russian forces have been fighting to capture Bakhmut for the past 10 months. Due to the death of more soldiers in this area, it has been named 'Meat Grinder'. At the same time, the Ukrainian army fears that if Russia manages to capture Bakhmut, its next victim will be the Ukrainian city of Chasiv Yar.
This group is challenging the official army of Russia. According to a report in Sunday Guardian Live, Yevgeny Prigogine has set up a military structure equivalent to the army in Belgorod and Kursk, the Russian regions bordering Ukraine. This is also the training facility and recruitment centre of the Wagner Army. Because of this, tensions have also increased between Russian army officers and Wagner's founder Yevgeny Prigogine.
Yevgeny Prigogine, the founder of the Wagner Group, is also known as the cook of Russian President Putin. They previously ran a restaurant where Putin often went to eat. He gradually became a close aide of Putin. He started getting contracts worth crores of rupees from the Russian government.
It is Yevgeny who funds the Wagner Group. Earlier he used to deny his relations with this group, but in 2022 he admitted that he is associated with it.
