The severe cold in Rajasthan is unrelenting. In several districts, including Alwar, Jalore, Barmer, and Pratapgarh, the minimum temperatures continued to fall on Wednesday. Nagaur, Fatehpur, Mount Abu, and Sikar recorded temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius. The intense cold has disrupted morning and evening activities in the Shekhawati and Marwar regions. Weather experts say people will not see relief from the cold on Thursday and Friday either.

According to the Meteorological Department, a weak western disturbance will become active in Rajasthan from December 12th. This could bring light clouds to some areas, leading to an increase in minimum temperatures. The Meteorological Department says that due to the activation of the Western Disturbance, the minimum temperature in the state may increase by up to 2 degrees.

In the last 24 hours, the coldest places in the state were Mount Abu (3 degrees), Nagaur (3.3 degrees), and Fatehpur (3.4 degrees). Bone-chilling cold continues in these areas in the morning and evening.

Temperatures have also dropped sharply in many other cities of the state. Sikar recorded a minimum temperature of 5 degrees, Lunkaransar 5.7 degrees, Dausa 5.7 degrees, Jalore 5.9 degrees, and Karauli 6.6 degrees Celsius.

While the morning and evening temperatures are bitterly cold, clear skies and bright sunshine during the day are providing some relief. Maximum temperatures in many cities have been recorded above 25 degrees. Barmer was the hottest place on Wednesday, with a daytime temperature of 32.6 degrees Celsius.
