The division bench of the Rajasthan High Court has stayed the order of a single bench canceling the Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment Exam-2021. However, the ban on the posting of selected candidates will continue till further orders.

While hearing the appeal of Amar Singh and other selected sub-inspectors, the division bench of Justice SP Sharma and Sanjit Purohit has also issued notice to the state government in this regard. Now the next hearing in this matter will be held on October 8.

Senior advocate RN Mathur, on behalf of the petitioners, argued that the single bench's order to cancel the exam was wrong because the government was also not in favor of canceling the recruitment. The SOG had already arrested those involved in the paper leak, due to which it was possible to distinguish between tainted and genuine candidates. Cancellation of recruitment would mean immediate dismissal for those who are already in training or on the job and who are genuine.
