The monsoon's turf line is passing through the northern parts of the state. Because of this, medium to heavy rains are expected in the Udaipur and Kota divisions. The capital, Jaipur, has been experiencing rain since Monday morning. Today, an Orange alert has been issued in 2 districts and a Yellow alert in 22 districts across the state. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an immediate alert for medium to heavy rains in Jaipur, Sikar, Churu, and surrounding areas.

Meteorologists said that a cyclonic circulation has formed over West Bengal, which is now slowly moving toward the northwest states. With the arrival of this system, rainfall in Bharatpur, Kota, and Jaipur divisions will intensify again. This area could start experiencing heavy rains from July 8-9, which may cause extreme weather in some places.

It is expected that by July 12, there could be heavy rains in eastern Rajasthan. On Sunday, most parts of the state received light to moderate rainfall. The highest rainfall was 45 mm in Sikar. Over the past 48 hours, districts like Sawai Madhopur, Udaipur, Sriganganagar, Churu, and Sirohi recorded heavy to moderate rains. The maximum rainfall, 214 mm, was recorded in Chauth Chauth, Sawai Madhopur.

Thanks to the good rains, water is now flowing into the dams across Rajasthan. By Sunday, the water level in Bisalpur Dam reached 313.83 meters, and the Triveni River is still flowing into the dam's catchment area. Sixty-two dams of small and medium size are fully filled, while 409 dams are partially filled.
