Rajasthan Monsoon Update: Due to the effect of western disturbance, rain has been recorded at many places in eastern Rajasthan on Wednesday morning. On Tuesday also, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in 10 cities of Rajasthan.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in eastern Rajasthan today. It has rained in Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, and Sikar and their respective surrounding areas since morning. Light to moderate rain fell in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Sikar, Kota, Churu, Ganganagar, Fatehpur, and Jhunjhunu on Tuesday too. Because of rain, a sudden plunge has been witnessed in the maximum temperature of the state. Particularly in the majority of the cities of eastern Rajasthan, the maximum temperature has fallen below 35 degrees.

In the past 24 hours, the hottest city turned out to be Jaisalmer in western Rajasthan. Here, the maximum temperature touched 41.6 degrees Celsius. Jaipur Meteorological Center has also predicted an orange alert of moderate rain and thunderstorms in Jaipur, Jaipur city, Alwar, Dausa, Bharatpur in the morning. The rain started in Jaipur at around 5:15 am. Although it lasted only for 10 minutes, it started again after about an hour, due to which the temperature has also dropped sharply. The Meteorological Department says that due to the western disturbance, moisture is being supplied here from the Arabian Sea. Rain activities can be seen in most parts of the state today.

According to IMD, heavy rains may occur at some places in Jaipur, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer, and Bharatpur divisions today. The period of thunderstorms and rain will continue till about June 5, after which the weather will remain dry. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of the state in the last 24 hours was as follows.

The hottest city of the state was Jaisalmer, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.6 degrees. The maximum temperature was recorded at 30.7 degrees in Ajmer, 35.4 in Bhilwara, 31.5 in Alwar, 30.4 in Jaipur, 32.2 in Pilani, 29 in Sikar, 36.2 in Kota, 40.8 in Barmer, 39.3 in Jodhpur, 31 in Churu, 36.1 in Bikaner and 31.5 degrees in Fatehpur.
