18 deaths so far in accidents caused by rain, alert of heavy to very heavy rain in Rajasthan's 8 districts today
Rajasthan Today Weather: The period of heavy rains going on in Rajasthan for the last 2 days is likely to continue. At the same time, 18 people have died so far in different rain-related accidents in the state.



There is a possibility of heavy, sometimes very heavy, rains in some parts of Rajasthan over the next two days. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rain in Baran and Jhalawar on Tuesday, while a heavy rain alert has been issued for Bundi, Chittorgarh, Karauli, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, and Sri Ganganagar.
For the past two days, torrential rains have persisted in many districts, and similar rainfall is expected for the next 24 to 48 hours. So far, 18 people have died in rain-related accidents across the state.
The bodies of two of the six individuals who were swept away in the Chambal River in Kota were recovered on Tuesday. In separate incidents, four people died each in Kota and Chittorgarh, three in Pratapgarh, and two in Churu. One person each lost their life in Rajsamand, Bharatpur, Alwar, Pali, and Dholpur. Due to heavy rains in Kota and Pali, schools were closed.
