Weather Update: Rising Temperatures Across Rajasthan, Heat to Intensify This Week
Weather Update: After the rains stopped in Rajasthan, temperatures have begun to rise. Strong sunshine has increased the heat in many cities. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures may cross 40 degrees Celsius in some places in the next two weeks.
Since the cessation of the storm and rainfall in Rajasthan, there have been increasing temperatures in most cities. The sunshine experienced on Thursday led to increased temperatures in some cities such as Jaipur, Alwar, Udaipur, Barmer, Pilani, and Kota.
According to the Meteorological Centre, temperatures will continue to increase for two weeks ahead in Jaipur, where temperatures are likely to hit above 40 degrees Celsius. However, some areas under the Bikaner Division might experience some clouds in the sky during April 10 and 11.
During the last 24 hours, clear skies dominated most of the state. Barmer City recorded the highest temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius. However, there are some areas in cities that remain cool compared to their usual temperatures. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius, 5.5 degrees below normal.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry and clear in most parts of the state for the next week. A weak western disturbance may bring light clouds to limited areas, but no significant changes are expected. Temperatures may increase by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
Regarding the temperatures in the state's major cities, the heat wave intensified on April 9. Ajmer recorded a maximum temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 17.4 degrees Celsius, while Bhilwara recorded 33 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius. Vanasthali (Tonk) recorded 32.1 degrees Celsius and 16.6 degrees Celsius, and Alwar recorded 30.5 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius. Jaipur recorded 30.8 and 18.8 degrees Celsius, Pilani 32.6 and 15.4 degrees Celsius, and Sikar 30 and 16.5 degrees Celsius. Kota recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius and Chittorgarh 34.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 19.5 and 23.4 degrees Celsius respectively. Udaipur recorded a temperature of 33.4 and 20 degrees Celsius.
Barmer recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 21.1 degrees Celsius. Jaisalmer recorded 33.8 and 20.5 degrees Celsius, Jodhpur 34.3 and 19.4 degrees Celsius. Bikaner recorded 32.3 and 19.2 degrees Celsius, Churu 32 and 16.8 degrees Celsius, and Ganganagar 32 and 15.3 degrees Celsius.
The temperature was 31.9 and 18.8 degrees in Nagaur, 33.3 and 16.2 in Baran and 34.9 and 21.1 degrees in Jalore. 32.8 and 15.6 degrees were recorded in Sirohi, 31.5 and 14.1 in Fatehpur, 31.4 and 17.6 in Karauli and 32.1 and 17.2 degrees in Dausa. 33.5 and 19.5 degrees were recorded in Pratapgarh, 30.6 and 16.5 in Jhunjhunu and 33.7 and 17.4 degrees in Pali.
