Yamaha Aerox 155 MotoGP Edition launched in India, starting price is Rs 1.48 lakh
Yamaha has launched the MotoGP edition of Aerox 155. Apart from MotoGP Edition, Aerox 155 has been introduced in four colors - Metallic Black Racing Blue Gray Vermillion, and Silver. The standard variant of Aerox 155 is priced at Rs 144800 ex-showroom. Powering the Aerox 155 is a 155 cc Blue Core liquid-cooled engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).
After launching MotoGP versions of the YZF-R15M, MT-15 V2.0, and Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid, Yamaha has launched the MotoGP edition of the Aerox 155. It is priced at Rs 1,48,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Yamaha says that the MotoGP edition will be offered in limited numbers. Let us tell you that apart from MotoGP Edition, Aerox 155 has been introduced in four colors – Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Gray Vermillion, and Silver.
The standard variant of the Aerox 155 is priced at Rs 1,44,800 ex-showroom. Yamaha says that the model is now equipped with Class D headlamps, which improve light and visibility while riding at night. It also has traction control, which cuts power when it detects rear wheel slip.
Powering the Aerox 155 is a 155 cc Blue Core liquid-cooled engine, equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This powertrain is connected to CVT automatic transmission. This is the same engine that powers the YZF-R15M and MT-15 V2.0. However, it has been re-tuned to suit the specifications of the scooter.
In the Aerox 155, the engine produces 14.79 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This engine can run on E20 fuel and the scooter has an on-board diagnostics system.
Let us tell you that earlier, the manufacturer had introduced MotoGP versions of YZF-R15M, MT-15 V2.0, and Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid. Their prices are ₹1.97 lahks, ₹1.73 lahks and ₹92,330 respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.
