Western Disturbance Brings Rain, Thunder, and Drop in Temperature Across Rajasthan

The weather in Rajasthan has gone topsy-turvy. Rain in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Pali, and Bhilwara on Monday increased the cold due to a fall in temperatures, while some districts felt mild heat due to a rise in mercury during the day. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in several districts of the state today. A western disturbance is affecting the weather in the state. Thunderstorms are very likely at several divisions along with strong winds and light to moderate rain during the next two days. Light showers started in Jaipur since morning.

On Monday, Bhilwara recorded the highest rainfall, flooding many city roads. Jalore experienced rain for about 20 minutes. The weather remained dry in other parts of the state, but a slight increase in temperature was recorded. The districts under yellow alert include Sirohi, Jodhpur, Pali, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Rajsamand, Nagaur, Tonk, Bundi, Kota, Baran, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, and Sikar. Thunderstorms and strong winds are likely in these areas. The Meteorological Department says that rain may continue until November 5. During this period, the sky will remain cloudy and strong winds will also blow.
