Villagers beat a teacher after locking him in a room teacher for making bad comments about a girl
Rajasthan: The principal of a government school in Bundi district of Rajasthan had to pay a heavy price for allegedly making obscene comments on a girl. The teacher was beaten up by the villagers. Police said that the accused has been identified as Shyoji Lal Meena, principal of a government senior secondary school. According to the police, the incident took place during a sports event in the school on Monday.
A principal of a government school in the Bundi district of Rajasthan had to pay a heavy price for allegedly passing obscene comments about a girl. The teacher was beaten up by the villagers and then taken into custody by the police. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. Police said that the villagers held the principal hostage in a room on the school premises and beat him up.
The police said the accused has been identified as Shyoji Lal Meena, principal of a government senior secondary school. According to police, the incident took place during a sports event in the school on Monday. The class 12th student accused Meena of misbehaving with her and repeatedly making lewd comments.
After the girl's complaint, locals gathered on the school premises and he held Sheoji Meena hostage in a room there, thrashing him until police intervened and took him into custody, said Mahendra Yadav, in charge of Nainwa police station.
Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered under sections of the Indian Justice Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Further investigation is underway. In the meantime, Bundi district education officer Rajendra Vyas said a departmental inquiry has also been initiated into the matter.
