Rajasthan News: Severe cold is prevailing in Rajasthan. The minimum temperature in Karauli was recorded at 3.1°C. Cold wave alerts have been issued in several districts, including Churu and Sikar.

Weather effects have multiplied in Rajasthan. Due to ice-laden winds from North India, it became extremely cold in different districts of the state on Saturday. In Karauli, the lowest temperature recorded was 3.1 degrees Celsius in the state. In Pali, the temperature touched 3.4 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Center, Jaipur, has forecast a severe cold wave alert for Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Alwar. The cold wave is most intense in and around the area of Shekhawati. The dew drops have already started to freeze in many cities in the morning.

Dew in fields has added to the woes of farmers in Sikar. Over the past 24 hours, Karauli, Pali, Bhilwara, Tonk, Kota, Udaipur, Baran, and Pratapgarh experienced the coldest night in this season. The minimum temperature was recorded at 4.7 degrees Celsius in Dausa, 4.5 in Baran, 5.2 in Alwar, 5 in Sikar, 5.4 in Fatehpur and 7.9 in Ajmer. Cold winds kept the day chilly.

The maximum temperature in Jaipur was 24.1 degrees Celsius, while the day temperature in all the cities was recorded below 30 degrees. The Meteorological Department has predicted that similar severe cold will continue for the next two to four days.
