With the discontinuation of these models, Mercedes-Benz is moving away from affordable and entry-level cars. The company is now focusing on luxury cars with high-end technology, like the CLA EV. Mercedes is now aiming to establish itself as an even more premium brand.
The new CLA EV features an 800-volt electrical system. The initial model, which will be launched in India, is reported to have a range of approximately 792 km on a single full charge. The rear-mounted electric motor generates 272 hp. This allows the CLA 250+ model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 6.7 seconds.
