Preparations to bring gangster Atiq from Gujarat to UP

Preparations are on to bring gangster Atiq Ahmed from Gujarat jail to Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Police reached Ahmedabad's Sabarmati Jail on Sunday. Atiq Ahmed is being questioned in the Umesh Pal murder case in Prayagraj. After questioning, Atik can be brought to Uttar Pradesh on a transfer warrant.
Atiq was shifted to Sabarmati Jail in June 2019. The Supreme Court had on 22 April 2019 ordered that Atiq be shifted from Deoria Jail to a high-security jail in Gujarat. Atiq was accused of conspiring to kidnap and assault real estate businessman Mohit Jaiswal.
Umesh Pal was killed in Prayag Raj on the evening of February 24. Among the accused, Asad, son of Atiq, the most wanted of the gang, and his sharpshooter are still away from the police. These people killed Umesh Pal with bullets and bombs as soon as he got down from the car after opening the gate.
Umesh and his two gunners were also killed in the attack. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. Umesh was the prime witness in the former MLA Raju Pal murder case. Umesh Pal's wife Jaya Pal along with Atiq Ahmed filed a case against Ashraf, his wife Shaista Parveen, his two sons and others.
Security agencies have received information that the shooters involved in the Umesh Pal murder case have fled to Bangladesh. After this now the team engaged in arresting the accused started monitoring the phone calls coming from the Gulf country.
It is also reported that the shooters of Atiq Ahmed are communicating with each other through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Now the investigating agencies have become more alert. It has also started cracking down on those who run telephone exchanges illegally for calling VoIP in Gulf countries.
