Punjab National Bank (PNB) has asked its bank account holders to update their KYC. According to the bank, customers whose KYC will remain pending after December 12, may face difficulty in transacting from their account. That's why it is very important for all customers to get KYC done by 12 December.
Punjab National Bank has said in a press release that the customers whose KYC update is pending, have been informed through two notices on their registered address and SMS on their registered mobile numbers. Punjab National Bank said in its tweet that as per RBI guidelines, KYC updation is mandatory for all customers.
If your account was due for KYC updation by 30th September, you have already been informed about the same. Visit the base branch to update your KYC before 12th December. Non-updation may result in a ban on your account operation.

You can update your KYC by visiting the bank branch. You will get KYC forms in the bank, fill them out and attach the necessary documents and submit them. After submitting the form, your KYC gets updated. If you want to update your KYC sitting at home, then for this you have to e-mail your documents to the bank. Keep in mind that the document should be sent from the registered mail ID only.
KYC is an identification process conducted by the Reserve Bank of India, with the help of which banks and other financial institutions get to know their customers well. KYC means "Know Your Customer". Banks and financial companies fill out the form for this and also take some proof of identity along with it.
