OpenAI Takes a Step into Music: New AI Tool Can Generate Full Songs from Prompts
OpenAI: OpenAI is now breaking new ground in the world of music. The company is developing an innovative tool that can create music using only text or audio input. This tool can create music for video background scores or vocal tracks.
The time is not very distant when you will be able to make your own songs with the assistance of a new OpenAI tool. The AI firm is now setting foot in a significant direction towards music. As per a new report, the firm is working on a music creation tool that can produce full music on the basis of just text or voice commands. This is to say that users are able to add a background score to a video or create a guitar melody for a song without the intervention of a human musician.
Although it is not yet known when this tool will be launched or if it will be available as a standalone product, initial development and testing are moving at a fast pace.
OpenAI has collaborated with students from the prestigious Juilliard School for this project. These students are helping to annotate musical scores to provide the AI model with accurate training data. The collaboration aims to understand how accurately machines can learn and replicate musical patterns and emotions.
This isn't the first time OpenAI has worked on generative music models. The company has experimented in this direction even before the launch of ChatGPT. In recent years, OpenAI has also made significant progress on text-to-speech and speech-to-text models.
