India plans the first prototype of the domestic 5.5th-generation fighter, the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), to be assembled by 2028.
During the discussion in a recent meeting between the Indian Air Force and the Defense Research and Development Organization, various minute details were discussed regarding the project and its roadmap.
Senior officials said the 5.5th generation AMCA would be a stealth aircraft and weigh around 27 tonnes. It will be able to carry weapons of very high weight. The agencies involved in its construction are engaged in developing such capabilities so that the aircraft is able to carry missiles in a completely stealthy manner.
