IPL 2026 Schedule Change: Board of Control for Cricket in India Swaps Venues for Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings Matches
IPL 2026, Gujarat Titans Updated Schedule: The BCCI has revised the IPL 2026 schedule, relocating the venues for GT and CSK's matches scheduled for April 26 and May 21.



In Monday’s news, the IPL 2026 schedule had undergone changes. The BCCI had announced a change in the Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings matches scheduled for April 26 and May 21. While the game scheduled for April 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, is now set to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Note: The IPL 2026 schedule further states that the Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings match set to take place on April 26 at Ahmedabad is now set to happen at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. Similarly, the match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans, scheduled for May 21st, will now be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, starting at 7:30 p.m. Previously scheduled for the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Overall, the venues for both matches have been interchanged. The municipal corporation elections in Ahmedabad have necessitated the rescheduling of these matches. This change was officially announced on April 13, 2026.
The performance of both teams in IPL 2026 has been disappointing so far. While the Chennai Super Kings have won only one out of four matches and are in ninth place in the points table, the Gujarat Titans have won two out of four matches and are in fifth place. Gujarat Titans, who lost both their opening matches, have returned to winning ways by defeating Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. Their next match will be against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 17. After this, they will face Mumbai Indians on April 20 and Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 24.
