Monsoon hits Rajasthan strongly, heavy rain alert in many districts
Monsoon Update: Monsoon entered Rajasthan very fast. As soon as the monsoon came in the state, it reached from Jaipur to Jodhpur and Barmer in a few hours. The Meteorological Department has today warned of heavy rain in Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bundi, Bhilwara and Ajmer districts.

This season, the monsoon has arrived in Rajasthan a week earlier than the time scheduled. The monsoon arrived in the state on Wednesday morning and by noon had reached the northern border at Jodhpur, Barmer, and at Jaipur.

There is a possibility of rain in the state capital Jaipur today. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert here. With the arrival of monsoon, light rain was recorded in Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhilwara, Sikar, Fatehpur, and Kota on Wednesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, this time 33 mm of rain has been recorded in June so far, while the normal average is 20.52 mm. Last year, 662.87 mm of rain was recorded in the state and 1032.33 mm in Jaipur. This time too, the Meteorological Department has predicted above-average rainfall.
The Meteorological Department has also warned of heavy rains in Alwar, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Rajsamand, Sikar, Sirohi, and Udaipur districts on Friday. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued in 20 districts. Residents have been advised to take the warnings of the Meteorological Department seriously and take necessary precautions.
