Sezal Sharma Presents 'Hunger Game' at Bharat Pavilion, Cannes 2026
Actor-producer marks fourth Cannes Film Festival appearance, showcases film under her production banner Sez Creation

CANNES / MUMBAI — Indian actor and producer Sezal Sharma attended the Cannes Film Festival 2026 this week, marking her fourth appearance at the festival, and presented her upcoming film "Hunger Game" at the Bharat Pavilion under her production banner, Sez Creation, according to a statement issued by her team. Sharma walked the festival's red carpet in a maroon outfit, photographs of which were circulated by event organisers and on her official social media handles.
The appearance underscores Sharma's growing dual role as both performer and producer, and follows a broader trend of independent Indian filmmakers using the Bharat Pavilion — a government-backed showcase space — to introduce projects to international buyers and festival programmers.
Bharat Pavilion as a launchpad
The Bharat Pavilion at Cannes is organised by India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in partnership with industry bodies, and serves as a platform for Indian filmmakers, producers, and state film bodies to present projects at the Marché du Film, the festival's parallel business marketplace.
Sharma's team said "Hunger Game," produced under Sez Creation, was presented at the pavilion as part of an effort to seek international visibility for the project. The film's full cast, director, and release timeline were not disclosed in the statement issued at the time of publication.
