"Losing Isn't Defeat as Long as We Keep Coming Back": Shubman Gill's Emotional Post After IPL 2026 Final Loss

However, captain of Gujarat Titans Shubman Gill cannot stop himself from mourning over the defeat in the Indian Premier League 2026 finals. Shubman Gill put up an emotional post on his social media account on Tuesday when his team failed to win their second IPL crown. The captain of Indian Test and ODI teams took two days to respond to their defeat in the final match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In a simple yet emotional post, he said that he is really upset with the way his team played in the match.

Shubman Gill posted some photos on Instagram and wrote, "We came so close, but couldn't win. It hurts and is incredibly disappointing, but this game we all love teaches us so much about life. It has taught me one thing: losing isn't a defeat as long as we keep coming back and don't give up."

He further added, "I want to thank each and every one of you who stood by us through the ups and downs. Your energy carried us to the end. Lots of love, Awa De."
