The majority of automobile companies have their cars on sale in India. Their cars come with varying forms of technology ranging from petrol and diesel cars. The reports have been generated showing the cars that have the latest technology in high demand last month, those with lower demands, etc. This news covers this information.

Reports suggest that there has been a decrease in demand for hybrid cars in the country. Last month witnessed a decline in the sales of cars that have hybrid technology. Sales of hybrid cars comprised just above two percent of the total sales.

Last month, 8,096 hybrid cars were sold within the country. The corresponding figure in 2025 is reported as 8,600 units. The reports further reveal that although there has been a decrease in the demand for hybrid cars, there has been a very rapid growth in the demand for electric cars.

According to information, the highest increase in electric car sales in the country was recorded during the last month. During this period, more than 26 thousand cars were sold in this segment. Whereas during the same period last year, this number was more than 14 thousand.
