Actress Shanaya Sharma shared how she celebrates Mahashivratri and the deep spiritual connection she feels with Lord Shiva on this sacred occasion.

Mahashivratri means 'The Night of Shiva.' It is considered a special occasion to express devotion and reverence toward Lord Shiva. According to a mythological legend, on the Chaturdashi date of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Phalgun, Lord Shiva first manifested as a Jyotirlinga, and this is why Mahashivratri is celebrated.

Expressing her reverence, Shanaya shared, “Mahashivratri is not just a festival for me; it is a time of immense spiritual energy and devotion. Every year, I observe a fast, visit a Shiva temple, and offer milk, fruits, and flowers to the Shivling. Chanting Shiva mantras fills me with positive energy and peace.”
