Delhi Capitals Post 155 After Batting Collapse Against Chennai Super Kings

Delhi Capitals scored 156 against Chennai Super Kings in the 48th match of IPL 2026. This match took place in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. During the toss, Delhi skipper Axar Patel had opted to bat first. However, that decision proved costly for his team, because not only did his players fail to score even 20 runs each, Axar himself couldn't do well either, although he had foreseen a conducive wicket for batting.

None of Delhi's top order batters managed to score even 20 runs. Axar Patel played just 6 balls and scored only 2. Half of the team was out even before scoring 69 runs. Seventh-place Samir Rizvi then scored an unbeaten 40 off 24 balls, including four fours. Meanwhile, Ashutosh Sharma steadied the team with a 14 off 5 balls. Thanks to these two, Delhi Capitals were able to reach 150.
