Western Disturbance Triggers Storm Alert Across Rajasthan, IMD Warns of Strong Winds and Rain

Weather in Rajasthan is once again changing. As per the Meteorological Department, there are possibilities of thunderstorms, rains, and winds blowing strongly in various parts of Rajasthan in the coming week. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be adverse weather conditions prevailing in many regions in Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions on May 4 due to a fresh western disturbance prevailing in these regions.

In this period, there are chances of having strong thunderstorms and rains with winds blowing at 60 to 70 kmph. On regular days, winds may blow at 40 to 50 kmph. The Meteorological Department says that due to the impact of storm and rain activities, the maximum temperature in most parts of the state will remain below 44 degrees Celsius for the next one week. This is expected to provide relief to people from the heatwave and intense heat.

Due to the change in weather, temperatures in most cities of the state were recorded below 40 degrees Celsius. However, in view of the heatwave situation in Jaisalmer, the administration has changed the timings of schools up to the 8th grade. The Meteorological Center, Jaipur has issued an orange alert for storm and rain in 19 districts of the state and a yellow alert in 8 districts. According to the department, strong winds can blow at speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour in many areas.
