TVK emerged as the single largest party in Tamil Nadu, whereas the Left Front miserably lost in Kerala. The United Democratic Front (UDF) defeated them comprehensively.
Congratulating BJP for their performance in the state assembly election, BJP leader and member of the Rajya Sabha Raghav Chadha tweeted that winning in West Bengal was historical.
He said, "Congratulations to the entire BJP family for the spectacular election results! The historic and decisive victory in West Bengal is truly unprecedented. The results in Assam and Puducherry further demonstrate the people's unwavering faith in development and good governance."
