Hyundai Motor India has confirmed the launch date of the Alcazar facelift coming next month. The Hyundai Alcazar facelift is scheduled to launch in the Indian market on September 9, 2024. This three-row SUV is based on the Hyundai Creta. The facelift version will get extensive upgrades to the model including new features. Let's know about it.

Earlier spied spy shots hint at the fact that the Alcazar facelift gets a revised design at the front, very much like its counterpart of the new Creta. Expect changes in the grille and front bumpers with new signature LED DRL designs to give it a more rounded look. Changes will be made at the rear by implementing a new LED taillamp, tailgate, and bumpers. Coming down to the profile, changes are minor, except new alloy wheels have been added to the mix to give added flavor.

Upgrades to the cabin include a new layout that it will share with the Creta. One can expect two 10.25-inch screens for the digital instrument console and the touchscreen infotainment system. The three-row SUV also gets a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, an electrically adjustable driver seat, and more. Hyundai is likely to use new materials and upholstery options to refresh the insides. However, the biggest update would be Level 2 ADAS.

The Alcazar facelift, on the other hand, will receive only petrol and diesel unit options. The current model is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine developing 158 bhp and 253 Nm of power; additionally, the 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 114 bhp and 250 Nm of power. The petrol motor is mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT, while the diesel gets a 6-speed manual and a torque-converter automatic. Ahead, Hyundai earlier had a 2.0-litre petrol engine that was naturally aspirated available with the Alcazar as well until it was removed from the lineup in 2023.
