Honour to 9-year-old Indian American: included in the list of the world's most talented students, children from 76 countries gave the test
Samedha Saxena, a 9-year-old Bharatvanshi living in America, has joined the list of the world's most talented students. He has been given this honour by the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY). Samedha is a Class 4 student at Battery Park City School in New York City.
Samedha gave a good performance on many tests at the high school and college levels. These include many exams including SAT, ACT, and School and College Ability Test. Samedha is one of the youngest students to qualify for the CYT Global Talent Search Program at 8.
Congratulating Samedha, CYT Executive Director Dr. Amy Shelton said, “Succeeding in this test is not what defines these students. These kids love exploring and learning. I salute these children with so much knowledge at such a young age.
Amy added – It is exciting to think about what discoveries these kids will use their knowledge and passion to make. Their coming experiences will be very enriching. They will go on to accomplish remarkable things in their community and in the world.
CYT had taken a test of 15 thousand 300 children from 76 countries in its program in the 2021-22 session. Only 27% of these children got high enough scores to make it to the list of the most brilliant students. Apart from Samedha, 13-year-old Indian-origin Natasha Periyanayagam, who lives in America, has also joined the list. The name of 9-year-old Aryaveer Kochhar, who lives in New Delhi, India, is also on this list.
