Rajasthan Monsoon Update: Monsoon has become active in most of the districts of the state. Today, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 25 districts. Jaipur Meteorological Center has also warned of moderate to heavy rain in Jaipur for the next three hours.

The monsoon has started in several districts of Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 25 cities of the state today. Heavy rains in many cities of the state on Tuesday. Over 3 inches of rain was also recorded in the capital Jaipur. Meanwhile, the highest rainfall of 200 mm was recorded in Baran. The state has received 133% more rain since June 1.

Talking about the condition of dams, more than 100 MCM of water has arrived in the big dams of the state in 24 hours. At the same time, 4.25 MCM in medium and small dams and 13 dams of less size than this have been completely filled. On the other hand, if we talk about big dams, they are at about 44% of their filling capacity.

The capital Jaipur received the highest rainfall in the last 10 years in the month of June. Here 77.8 mm of water fell in 24 hours. This is the highest rainfall in a day in the month of June in the last 10 years. From the year 2015 to 2024, the highest rainfall in a day in June was 47.3 mm on 21 June 2022.

It has been raining heavily in Baran for the last 2 days. Due to this, flood conditions have arisen there. Road connectivity has been lost in dozens of villages. Many districts have become islands. The Nahargarh-Bhanwargarh road has been closed due to the bridge built on the Barni river in Baran being washed away. The Parvati river is in spate.

Due to heavy rains in the state, there was tremendous waterlogging on the roads in many cities. Due to heavy rains in Sikar, more than 3 feet of water was filled on Nawalgarh Road, due to which big vehicles also got stuck in the water. This situation persisted there for several hours. People were even evacuated in JCBs and tractors.
