Domestic Passenger Vehicle Wholesale Sales Grow By 2.94 Percent In July, SIAM Report
Passenger vehicle (PV) deliveries from manufacturers to dealers in July 2022 stood at 293865 units, according to new data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). However, passenger vehicles and three-wheelers are performing well in July 2023 as compared to July 2022. There has been a decline in the growth of two-wheelers in July 2023. Total sedan sales stood at 33244 units.

Let us tell you, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers said on Thursday that the wholesale sales of domestic passenger vehicles increased by 2.94 percent year-on-year to 3,02,521 units in July.

At the same time, domestic wholesale sales of two-wheelers declined to 12,82,054 units last month, compared to 13,81,303 units in July 2022. Now talking about bulk sales of three-wheelers, its sales stood at 56,034 units as compared to 31,324 units in the same month a year ago.
To this, SIAM said that total vehicle dispatches across all categories were 16,40,727 units, as against 17,06,545 units in July 2022.
“Though passenger vehicles and three-wheelers are doing well, there is a decline in the growth of two-wheelers in July 2023 as compared to July 2022.
To this, SIAM President Vinod Agarwal said, "Overall, we expect a positive economic environment, good monsoon, and the upcoming festive season to see continued growth in the auto industry.
Total sedan sales in July 2023 stood at 33,244 units, a decline of 6.77% when compared to the same period last year. Last year, 35,659 units were sold in this segment.
