Cold Winds Ease in Rajasthan; Minimum Temperatures Rise in Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Mount Abu
Rajasthan Cold Wave: The impact of cold winds from North India has begun to ease in Rajasthan. Minimum temperatures have risen in several cities, including Mount Abu. According to the Meteorological Department, the skies will remain clear for the next two weeks, with sunny days and mild cold nights. Temperatures are expected to remain around normal.
The cold winds blowing from North India are gradually ceasing to affect Rajasthan. Minimum temperatures in cities like Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Mount Abu have increased. Mount Abu has recorded temperatures above the freezing point on Thursday. According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, dry weather with clear skies shall prevail in the state, and there would not be any considerable change in temperature conditions for two weeks.
On Thursday, the minimum temperature at Mount Abu was recorded at 1 degree Celsius. Nagaur recorded 6.2°C, Fatehpur 6.1°C, Sirohi 7.2°C, Sikar 7.5°C, Alwar 9.5°C, Udaipur 9.2°C, Chittorgarh and Churu 9°C, Baran and Karauli 9.9°C, Jalore 8°C, Jaipur 12.3°C, Ajmer 10.8°C, Vanasthali (Tonk) 10.3°C, Barmer and Jaisalmer 13.8°C, Jodhpur 10.9°C, Bikaner 12.8°C, and Ganganagar 11.7°C.
Due to weakening of cold winds, maximum temperatures increased slightly in many districts. Day temperatures increased by about 1 degree in Chittorgarh, Kota, Alwar, and Jalore, while they decreased in the Shekhawati region. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Barmer at 32.5°C. Jaisalmer and Bikaner recorded 31.2°C, Jodhpur 31°C, Phalodi 29.2°C, Jalore 30.2°C, Nagaur 29.7°C, Churu and Chittorgarh 29.4°C, Alwar 28.8°C, and Jaipur 27.5°C. Sirohi was the coldest at 23.6°C.
According to the Meteorological Department, daytime temperatures in the state are expected to remain around normal until December 4th, while nighttime temperatures may be 2–3 degrees below normal. Clear skies and bright sunshine will prevail throughout the state for the next two weeks.
