China increasing nuclear power amid tensions with America

China is preparing to increase its nuclear power amidst ever-worsening relations with the US and Taiwan. For this, a blueprint was prepared by the People's Liberation Army of China. Which has now been approved by President Xi Jinping there. The report claimed that by the year 2035, China will increase the number of nuclear weapons by three times to 900.
According to the Kyodo News report, many foreign experts have claimed that China may abandon the policy of 'no first use' of nuclear weapons. This means that in the event of war, China can launch a nuclear attack on any country first.
Kyodo's report states that China will prepare 550 nuclear weapons by the 100th year of its military in 2027. While the remaining 350 weapons will be ready by 2035.
In the month of November last year, China's top military body emphasized the importance of nuclear weapons with dangerous potential. He said that in the midst of the Ukraine war, Russia's nuclear power has prevented NATO countries from attacking it.
Prior to Kyodo's report, in 2022, the US had also claimed that China was increasing its nuclear power. According to American estimates, by 2035, China will increase the number of nuclear weapons to 1500. The tension between the two countries had increased significantly since US leader Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan.
A US defence official had said that China's intentions are extremely worrying. This country has the potential to become a significant challenger to the US politically. Technology is also a big reason for this to be a challenge.
According to the Stockholm International Peace Research report, Russia has the largest number of nuclear weapons in the world. In terms of nuclear weapons, China is second and India is in seventh place.
India remains the biggest challenge for China in Asia right now. Japan may be ahead in terms of the size of the economy, but India's image is that of a country which is rapidly making its place even without the support of any superpower.
In such a situation, China's priority is to stop India on every front. China believes that if it engages India on the strategic front, it can show its power to the whole of Asia. At the same time, he is sure that America will not want to enter directly in India case. In such a situation, experts believe that in 2023, the Indo-China border could become the biggest point of tension in Asia.
