Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department Sushil Kumar Gupta said that there was good rain in the catchment area of the dam on Wednesday evening, due to which the inflow of water in the dam increased. The water level of this dam of total filling capacity of 258.62 meters was 258 meters on Wednesday morning, the water level reached 258.10 meters late in the evening, and when the water inflow continued, water drainage was started by opening two gates at around 7.30 pm.
3 thousand cusecs of water are being drained into the Gambhir river from each of the dam's gates 3 and 4. He has appealed to the people not to move and also not to let their animals go into the downstream area of the dam for safety. Department's Assistant Engineer Veersingh Jatav, Junior Engineer Bhavani Meena, and other personnel are keeping an eye on the inflow of water in the dam.
