Aneesha Madhok Returns to Delhi in Musical 'Ananda' Directed by Muzaffar Ali

Aneesha Madhok, after studying theatre at USC and starring in Hollywood, has returned to her hometown of Delhi and will be appearing in the musical "Ananda," directed by renowned filmmaker Muzaffar Ali. She shared her thoughts on the musical and her experiences:

Aneesha described the musical as an enriching experience that expanded her perspective on art, blending calmness, creativity, and receptibility. She expressed deep admiration for Muzaffar Ali, highlighting his ability to transcend artistic limitations and referred to him as a royal artist.

When asked about the potential for musicals in India, Aneesha expressed optimism, stating that India is picking up in this genre. She plans to bring her learnings from the prestigious University of Southern California to elevate the standards of live performances, incorporating singing, dancing, and acting, and showcasing the talent representing India.

Aneesha's elegant look in the musical play is designed by Sama Ali and Meera Ali, emphasizing that elegance is a state of mind and cannot be bought. She plays the role of Jhumki, a young seductress who encounters the spiritually enlightened character Ananda.

Renowned actor and narrator Kabir Bedi is part of the production, and Aneesha praised him as kind, gracious, and admired globally. She considers it an honor to be part of this production with Mr. Bedi.

The play "Ananda" is scheduled for October 26th and 27th in Delhi, and Aneesha is hopeful that it will receive a thunderous response from the audience, taking the production to greater heights.
