It is a mild-hybrid with a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine churning out 251 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. The plug-in hybrid one churns out 547bhp and 845Nm of torque with the turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine along with three electric points. An 8-speed automatic gearbox will accompany both configurations. Its range is at 161 km.
The next-generation Volvo XC90 is expected to be a heavily re-styled creature. In the teaser put out by the company, the XC90 sports a carved-out bonnet and new headlamps with Thor-Hammer LED daytime running lamps.
The Volvo XC90 facelift will feature a 14.5-inch touchscreen oriented in a vertical style and prototyping a Google-based system. Other than this, Volvo's newest car features the ability to get the laser-based LiDAR surround view sensing system with eight cameras and radar.
