There will be no mechanical changes in any of the cars being launched today. It can be offered with two engine options. It has a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is capable of generating a maximum power of 113 HP and peak torque of 178 Nm. Apart from this, it has a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol motor producing 148 hp and 250 Nm.

Volkswagen currently sells only three cars in India, including the Virtus sedan, Taigun, and Tiguan SUV. The automaker has already launched the GT Edge Limited Edition variant for the Virtus and Taigun. The Taigun also gets a GT Edge Trail edition. The special edition of Sound Edition sedan and SUV is going to get many new features.
