Two big achievements in Jio's account, telecom company honored with two prestigious intellectual property awards

Technology company Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) has been awarded two prestigious intellectual property awards. On one hand, the Government of India awarded Jio Platforms the 'National Intellectual Property Award', and on the other, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) also awarded Jio Platforms a trophy for excellence in technology and innovation. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal gave away these awards during a ceremony in New Delhi.

The company filed more than 4 thousand patents in the last three years globally. Most of the patents have been filed in the telecommunication, digital, and artificial intelligence domains. That is, most patents are from the research and development in the 5G, 6G, and AI technology and the allied technology. These technologies were once thought to be in the hands of foreign firms. The large number of patents filed by Jio shows that an Indian firm such as Jio has become a global leader in the technology sector now.

Receiving the award for JPL, Ayush Bhatnagar, Senior Vice President, Jio Platforms Limited (JPL), said, "These awards are a testimony to our commitment to innovation. We are not just working on technologies, we are developing capabilities that will contribute significantly to national development through 5G, 6G, and Artificial Intelligence and put us ahead in global competition."
